One of the biggest problems Governments are currently facing is how to resuscitate the banking system. Without a banking system the economy can’t function, but the current banking system is busted – no matter what the bosses of AIB and BOI might say on the News – and all the attempts to try and fix it so far have, not surprisingly, failed.
I’ve noticed a very curious trend in the Newspapers this week. Instead of just parroting the talking points used by the leaders and front bench spokesmen of the opposition parties, the journalists are now calling on the opposition to put up or shut up – they are now being asked to tell us what they would do differently.
